Art is an essential part of every community, helping to reveal the nature of a place and its people. McMinnville has a vibrant community of local artists and makers, and we’re proud to share their work at the Atticus Hotel.
In each room, an original work of art by Zach Hixson is displayed. These works have been curated around the theme of dreams, which are sometimes ethereal, sometimes disjointed, and always revealing.
The Jennings Hotel Residency
The Jennings Hotel artist residency program aspires to encourage and facilitate the actualization of creative projects in the visual and performing arts. The Jennings hopes to provide a space that will disrupt routine and buoy practice by inspiring expansiveness & contemplation through geography, community and friendship. During this early June residency program, I will create a piece for the permanent collection at The Jennings Hotel, as well as a collection of plein air works inspired by the local landscape.
Suttle Lodge: Cabin 8 Residency
In Spring 2018, I completed a residency at the Suttle Lodge & Boathouse, located 15 miles northwest of charming Sisters, Oregon. During this time, I was inspired by nature and completed a collection of unique works.
